It Hits the Fan! A Health System's Journey through COVID
January 27, 2021

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET

In January 2019,  M Health Fairview was created as a joint venture of Fairview Health System, the University of Minnesota, and University of Minnesota Physicians. Their journey of coming together as a team had just begun when in March of 2020 COVID-19 came to the state of Minnesota.

This global pandemic provided the stimulus to align the various components within the hospital system in multiple ways; including

  • Quickly transitioning new information about the treatment of COVID-19 to bedside care
  • Developed a highly functioning systems operation center that allowed for appropriate placement of patients
  • Supporting active research and teaching within the group of challenging patients

Together we were stressed by the financial challenges inherent in this disease's effects on society. This webinar will describe key learnings and aspects of this journey.

Presented by:

Linda Wick, MSN, APRN, CHFN
Associate Chief Nurse Executive and Interim CNO UMMC/UMMCH

Greg Beilman, M.D.
Deputy Chair of the Department of Surgery and Sr. VP of the Acute Domain I
