The Certified Administrator Renal Healthcare (CARH) credential validates your leadership, competency, and commitment to excellence in outpatient renal healthcare. The certification is administered by the Renal Healthcare Certification Commission (RHCC), an independent body supported by the Renal Healthcare Association (RHA).

Eligibility Requirements

There are two eligibility pathways to apply:

Requirement Option 1 Option 2
Education Bachelor’s degree High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience 3 years in a Dialysis Administrator role within last 5 years 5 years in a Dialysis Administrator role within last 7 years
Practice Hours 3,000 hours within last 5 years 5,000 hours within last 7 years

How to Apply

1) Submit the online application with supporting documentation.

2) Pay the applicable fee:

  • Special Introductory Rate - First Exam! In-Person Exam: September 19, 2025
  • RHA Member $350, Only $200 
  • Non-Member $450, Only $200 

3) Await eligibility review and testing instructions.

Exam Format & Schedule

The first exam administration will be held in person on September 19, 2025, in Orlando, FL. Submit your online application with supporting documentation by Friday, September 5, to be considered for the first exam.

Starting in 2026, the CARH exam will be available at approved testing centers nationwide.
